Paula qualified as a Podiatrist in 2015, after graduating at AUT University in Auckland. She has recently transferred to the Waikato to join the Waikato Podiatry Team. Paula was born and bred on her family beef farm in the northern district. Paula enjoys hunting, fishing, being on the farm and playing sports. From these enjoyments she developed a keen interest in how the body mechanically moves, and the science concerned with the internal and external forces acting on the human body.
Whilst studying, Paula developed an understanding of the importance of foot health in each individual, and the significance of creating a patient-centred treatment plan to care for each client’s individual needs. She is experienced in treating many common foot injuries and is greatly involved in the Pegasus Health scheme providing podiatry care to our diabetic patients. With these patients Paula assesses, treats and educates each person and cross-refers with General Practitioners and other health professionals to formulate the best possible outcome for the patient.
Paula is based at Waikato Podiatry’s new clinic in Thames at 210 Richmond Street, and surrounding satellite clinics at Whangamata, Waihi, Te Aroha and Paeroa.
Paula looks forward to seeing you soon!
